The story of Hands of Home began long before our doors officially opened in October 2023. What started as hobbies, woodworking and creating handmade goods, grew into a small business, Blue Farmhouse Design Co., in 2018. From the beginning, we dreamed of having a space to share our products with others.

A few years later, after much prayer and dreaming, we decided to look for a building to start our own brick and mortar store in our small town of Elkton, VA.

During that time, our family walked through a significant medical experience. In the midst of it, God laid it on our hearts to change our dreams and start a nonprofit shop where we could share the love of Christ in the community and help support missions around the world.

Through God’s guidance, countless hours of hard work and renovations, and the incredible support of family and friends, Hands of Home came to life.
